About SwiftPDF

SwiftPDF is a set of free PDF tools that run entirely in your web browser. Merge documents, split out pages, shrink file sizes, convert between PDF and images, add page numbers, stamp watermarks and sign forms — without creating an account, without daily limits and without uploading your files to anyone's server.

How it works

Every tool on this site is powered by open-source JavaScript libraries (pdf-lib and pdf.js) running locally on your device. When you drop a file into a tool, it is read into your browser's memory, processed there, and the result is downloaded straight back to you. There is no backend, no queue and no copy kept anywhere else.

Why free?

Because these tools cost almost nothing to provide: with no servers processing your files, there are no per-file costs to pass on to you. The site is supported by advertising, which keeps every tool free for everyone, forever.

Privacy first

Most online PDF tools upload your documents to their servers for processing. SwiftPDF never does. Your contracts, resumes, statements and scans stay on your device from start to finish. Read our Privacy Policy for the full details.

What we don't do

• We don't offer password encryption of PDFs — real document security deserves dedicated software, and we'd rather skip the feature than fake it.
• We don't do OCR (text recognition on scanned pages) — it needs heavy models that don't belong in a lightweight free tool.
